đź‘‹ Hey there, I’m Ethan Gregory Dodge. I’m an autistic and ADHD writer who was raised in a strict Mormon household in Utah County, Utah. I left the LDS Church at 25 and was diagnosed neurodivergent at 34. I’m also a journalist and documentarian. My articles have been published in outlets like VICE, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Salt Lake Tribune, Metro Silicon Valley, and others. I write the bulk of the magazine Tattootime of which I am Editor in Chief.
My writing here in my personal blog tends to wax memoiristic as I explore my Mormon and neurodivergent identity through my past and present. My work elsewhere will usually touch on tattooing, Mormonism, or surveillance—and any possible intersection of the three.

Ethan Gregory Dodge is a neurodivergent writer, journalist, photographer, and former cybersecurity engineer based in San Jose, California. Raised in Utah Valley, much of his personal work wrestles with his identity as a non-believing Mormon. He was one of the journalists who exposed the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ hidden stock and real estate portfolios. As Editor in Chief of Ed Hardy’s Tattootime and producer of the Tattoo 408 podcast, he’s also known for documenting tattoo history and culture.
Ethan is driven by a deep belief in speaking truth to power and preserving culture through careful, human-centered storytelling, His work has appeared in VICE, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Salt Lake Tribune, and many other outlets.
